Alex Graduates!

Our beautiful Alex has graduated from Boise High School on Tuesday night. She looked gorgeous and we are all so proud of our sister, sister-in-law and auntie. Even Emerson did so well sitting through the long ceremony. He didn't start fussing until the very end. There were so many family members and friends waiting for the graduates outside the arena afterwards that Brent had to put Emerson on his shoulders so that Alex could find us!

New Fence!

So the new to us fence finally got put up in our backyard with many many thanks to Dad and Rob. It is so nice to be have an enclosed yard. The privacy is something we never had and we are quite excited about it! Check out the before and after photos. Rob's condo complex was putting in all new fence so we got to steal the wood leftover from the old one. We can't afford new so we got new to us. We are so happy! Thank you so much for all your help Dad and Rob!

Lovely Cast

So apparently Brent's tough last game was quite difficult. He went in for a slide tackle and must have braced himself incorrectly because he managed to break his hand. Well, actually he broke his thumb where it connects to his palm. He has a beautiful blue and purple cast for four to six weeks. He has to go back in to the doctor in a week or so to make sure the cast is working and is positioned properly. He just loves trying not to get it wet in the shower!

Mother's Day

We (Brent and Elizabeth) both had last soccer games on Friday evening. Look at all those beautiful ladies and handsome men! Unfortunately, both of our teams lost, but it was a good season. On Saturday we did a little spring cleaning at Nana's house to get it ready for some people to move in and stage the home to hopefully sell soon and on Sunday we had a most fabulous Mother's Day. We had a lovely brunch at Rob's house with Mom and Dad Butterfield and watched the movie Cars. It is so much fun to see Emerson's face light up every time he sees a car. He is definitely a Butterfield! After brunch, we had a very yummy barbeque at Mom and Dad Dietz's house. Mom made some very scrumptious hamburgers and potato salad. Not one person walked away hungry after our full day of eating and celebrating mothers. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Soccer, Soccer, Soccer

As you can see, we have been having loads of fun on the soccer field this season. Brent and Elizabeth are both on teams and Emerson wants to be on a team already. We didn't even make him kick the ball. He does it all by himself! We both have one game left and then the end of the season tournament. We are so ready for summer and swimming.

Hey There!

We (Brent and Elizabeth) are starting this blog so that our friends and family can stay in touch with us and find out what has been going on in our lives.
